Minutiae of upcoming UPSC exams


Here is the list of upcoming Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) exams:

1.   Central Police Forces exam: The registration process of this exam has already closed and the date of examination is 20th October 2013.
2.       Civil Services (main) examination: Date of exam is from 1st December to 5th December 2013.
3.       Geologist Exam: Registration is already closed and the main exam is on 7th December 2013.
4.       IES/ISS exam: Registration already closed on 16th September. Main exam is on 7th December 2013.
5.       Section Officers/ Stenographers (Grade B/Grade-I) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination: Last date of registration is 14th October and the main exam is on 21st December 2013. 




Civil Services (Main) Paper pattern: 

·         Qualifying English Papers :100 Marks
·         Paper I (Essay): 200 Marks
·         Paper II (General Studies – I): 250 Marks
·         Papers III (General Studies – II): 250 Marks
·         Paper IV (General Studies – III): 250 Marks
·         Paper V (General Studies – IV): 250 Marks
·         Paper VI (Optional Subject Paper – I): 250 Marks
·         Paper VII (Optional Subject Paper – II): 250 Marks
·         Interview (Personality Test): 275

Geologist Exam Paper Pattern:

·         General English: 100 Marks
